by Anonymous

San Diego, CA March 17 2004--Bathroom Readers’ Institute plans to bowl over readers’ minds and imaginations once again with the announcement of “The World’s Hardest Crossword Puzzle” Challenge! The national contest is in support of the latest installment in the phenomenally popular Bathroom Reader series, Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader Puzzle Book #2, and recently launched on March 12, 2004, at the 27th Annual American Crossword Tournament in Stamford, Connecticut, produced by New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz.

The Bathroom Readers’ Institute invites readers to defy all reason and sanity to complete the hardest crossword puzzle ever conceived for a chance to win $5,000. Participants must first complete an entry puzzle, found inside Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader Puzzle Book #2 or on the Bathroom Reader’s website www.bathroomreader.com, and mail it to the Bathroom Readers’ Institute headquarters (see address below). Upon successful completion of the first puzzle, entrants will be sent “The World’s Hardest Crossword Puzzle,” which entrants are asked to complete, if they dare, and send back to headquarters.

All entrants who successfully complete the “World’s Hardest Crossword Puzzle” will receive an Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader T-shirt, and one grand prize winner chosen by random drawing from all successful entrants will win $5,000! The Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader Entry Puzzle submissions must be postmarked by July 1, 2004, and “The World’s Hardest Crossword Puzzle” entries must be postmarked by September 1, 2004. The Grand Prize winner will be drawn on November 1, 2004. No purchase is necessary to enter this mind-boggling challenge. For official contest rules, please visit www.bathroomreader.com.
